Normally due the end of the month after the month a truck is first used on the road in the tax year (tax year starts July 1).

- Form 2290 heavy highway vehicle use tax VERIFIED
File by the last day of the month after the month the vehicle is first used on public highways in the tax period (July 1 to June 30); next business day if it falls on a weekend or holiday. Electronic filing is required for 25 or more vehicles.

- MCS-150 / MCSA-1 biennial update (USDOT registration) VERIFIED
Update every 24 months. Month = last digit of the USDOT number (1 January ... 9 September, 0 October); year parity = next-to-last digit (odd digit: odd years, even digit: even years). Missing the update can lead to deactivation of the USDOT number. Cite: 49 CFR 390.201(d).

- Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse annual query VERIFIED
Employers must query the Clearinghouse at least once per year for every driver subject to testing; a limited query (with driver consent) satisfies the annual requirement. The rule sets no fixed calendar date; the due date is 12 months from the last query for that driver. Cite: 49 CFR 382.701(b).

Due on the last day of the month after each calendar quarter ends, which gives April 30 (Q1), July 31 (Q2), October 31 (Q3), January 31 (Q4); annual filers by January 31. Weekend or holiday rule per R960. The four dates are derived from the rule, the rule is quoted.
