Official data, made clear for small fleets

Government agencies publish a lot of trucking data that is hard to read and harder to compare. We take the official files, compute what a 5-to-15-truck fleet can use, and put the source, retrieval date and limits next to every number. Nothing here is a live feed, a freight rate or a prediction.

Rules we follow for public data

  • A number gets on a page only if it traces to a file with a retrieval date. No source means "no data".
  • Snapshots show the retrieval time and how old they are. Historical data is labeled historical. The data freshness board lists every dataset with its dates.
  • We never present a regional number as if it were a city, a lane or a load.
  • Every page ends with a calculator or a next step that uses your own numbers.

What we do not publish

  • Live or market freight rates, or rate indexes.
  • Predictions of delays, prices or weather.
  • Scores or rankings of named carriers or brokers.
  • State rules that we could not take from an official source.
